“Exercise is an important part of my stress management,” she says. “Strengthening the Suncoast helps me maintain muscle tone and strength—and it fits my schedule, so I can actually stick with it.” “The more I studied the science behind Strengthening the Suncoast, the more sense it made,” said Dr. McGill. “I decided to give it a try.

Success Story for Strengthening the Suncoast Sarasota FloridaYou can’t change your age. But you CAN build the strength to defy it.

One of the first places Doug noticed a difference was in his golf game. “My brother-in-law pointed out that I’m hitting the ball farther than before. I credit my weight training,” he says.

Julie, meanwhile, has built muscle tone, dropped a clothing size and gained stamina. “Between helping care for my aging mom and keeping up with our kids, I need all the energy I can get,” she says.

Doug, now 67, and Julie, 64, have always led busy lives. Finding time for fitness is not easy. “It’s amazing what one 20-minute workout a week can do,” Doug says. “I just love that you don’t have to work out five days a week to get that.”

Success Story for Strengthening the Suncoast Sarasota FloridaIn 2010, I was diagnosed with osteopenia which I learned is the early stages of osteoporosis.

While I knew a little about osteoporosis and its debilitating complications, I did my research looking for ways to control this difficult disease. I am an active person and I want to stay that way.

I knew about the various pharmaceuticals that were available, but as I learned more, the contraindications were overwhelming: esophageal issues; stomach ulcers; bone, joint, and muscle pain (sometimes severe); back pain; and other negative side effects.

Then I read an article about Strengthening the Suncoast. I must admit that it sounded just too good to be true. But with their Initial Orientation and Initial Training Session being free, I really had nothing to lose.

At my first session, I learned about their unique training protocol and the many benefits that it offers. I was especially excited about the research that shows its positive effects on preventing osteoporosis which was my original goal. This unique training program increased my energy and stability, it improved my golf game (hitting the ball 20 to 30 yards further!), and my recent bone density test showed a significant gain in my bone density!

I would highly recommend giving Strengthening the Suncoast a call and take advantage of their Free Orientation session before this offer runs out. You have nothing to lose and everything (including bone) to gain.

Success Storie for Strengthening the SuncoastBuilding strength was the primary reason Denise began working out at Strengthening the Suncoast, but she has since realized a few other benefits of the workouts. “First of all, the physical therapist that I’ve been seeing for years says my spine is functioning better than she’s ever seen it,” Denise reports. “And the massage therapist that’s part of that group says he’s seen a big difference, too. “He always said my back muscles were like steel rebar and coiled metal ropes, but now he says my back muscles actually feel like normal muscle tissue. And believe me, I can feel the difference, because I don’t have all that pain and discomfort anymore.”

“Now that my back feels better, I’m getting more rotation in my golf swing and actually hitting the golf ball farther when I play. Some of my golfing friends have even commented on how much more I can turn my shoulders now.”

Denise knows the impact Strengthening the Suncoast workouts have made on her life have made her a firm believer in the program, so much so that she has already recommended it to several of her friends. “One of my friends is already going,” Denise says, “and my physical therapist, who has followed my progress and asked me a lot of questions about Strengthening the Suncoast, is now recommending it to other patients. It’s really a great program because the coaches are all properly trained, and they do a great job of watching you to make sure your form is right and you’re using the equipment properly. For me, Strengthening the Suncoast has been a fantastic experience.” My husband thinks so too. He started training at Strengthening the Suncoast and no longer shuffles his feet and we continue to be amazed at the results from our weekly training sessions.

Strengthening | Stretch Training with Strengthening The SuncoastI was instantly skeptical when I first heard about Strengthening the Suncoast, back in 2009, a medically based form of fitness training that claims to take just 20 minutes a week.

Sure, the time saving part sounded good - especially for someone like me who was constantly juggling my family and my career. I want to stay in shape, but don’t have time to go to a gym, changing into my work out clothes, waiting on the equipment - that just doesn’t work for me.

But come on. I understand how the body works. While the science behind Strengthening the Suncoast’ claims may be real, but let’s be realistic, no one can really build their strength in just 20 minutes a week. Can they?

The medical researcher in me wanted to find out. Fortunately, my introductory session was free. I like free. So, what did I have to lose except, well, maybe 20 pounds?

The first person I met when I entered Strengthening the Suncoast was a certified personal trainer with a load of experience. At our first meeting, she asked a lot of questions, answered all of mine, and she especially wanted to understand my personal goals. I told her all about my crazy work schedule, my “on-call” schedule and four children, my desire to lose weight and rid myself of the nagging lower back pain that flares up every time I deliver a baby. Also, I confessed to her I was totally unconvinced this workout would do half of what it promised. She just smiled and said that they hear that a lot.

I guess you could say I committed! I have been coming to Strengthening the Suncoast for over 17 years. I realized the benefits when I started back in 2009. It served me well at the time with my busy work and family life. I could exercise for 20 minutes once a week and reap the health benefits that would otherwise require hours in the gym. I was running long distance at that time and Strengthening the Suncoast was the perfect adjunct to that sport. As I navigated my way to retirement and my empty nest, Strengthening the Suncoast continued to meet my health and fitness needs. I have now moved on to golf and pickleball and my workout at Strengthening the Suncoast continues to help improve my ability in both of those sports.

My core has continued to grow stronger. My balance, flexibility and range of motion are also better. That back pain I spoke of earlier - it’s gone!

Those extra 20 pounds I was carrying when I started? They’re gone, too.

I firmly believe that muscle is the organ for longevity and the more that we can maintain the better our life will be. I have had the pleasure of working with several different trainers at Strengthening the Suncoast and I really appreciate the consistency of my workout with different perspectives from individual trainers. Their knowledge and expertise have helped me to maximize my results over the past 17 plus years.

The benefits of functional strength training at Strengthening the Suncoast has allowed me to navigate perimenopause and menopause with minimal disruption to daily life. It has improved my sleep, mood, and digestion by staying active and engaged.

Strengthening the Suncoast, in short, has exceeded my expectations beyond belief. The fact that my trainer works with me one-on-one, is patient with me, keeps me safe and always answers all of my questions is just the icing on the cake! I will continue to come to Strengthening the Suncoast for as long as I am able! I think that’s about 45 more years to go!
